FE Exam
The FE Exam, or Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, is a standardized test for aspiring engineers in the United States. It is typically taken by recent graduates or students nearing the completion of an engineering degree. The exam assesses knowledge in various engineering topics, including mathematics, science, and engineering principles, and serves as the first step toward becoming a licensed professional engineer.
Passing the FE Exam is a requirement for obtaining a PE License, or Professional Engineer License, which allows engineers to practice independently. The exam is administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and is available in a computer-based format at various testing centers.
