F-type Main-Sequence Star
An F-type Main-Sequence Star is a type of star that falls between A-type and G-type stars on the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. These stars are characterized by their yellow-white color and surface temperatures ranging from about 6,000 to 7,600 Kelvin. They are more massive than G-type stars like our Sun and can be up to 1.5 times the mass of the Sun.
F-type stars are known for their relatively short lifespans, typically lasting around 2 to 3 billion years. They fuse hydrogen into helium in their cores, producing energy that allows them to shine brightly. Examples of F-type stars include Procyon and Aldebaran.
