F-104
The F-104 Starfighter is a supersonic interceptor aircraft that was first introduced in the 1950s. Designed by Lockheed, it was known for its sleek, pointed shape and high speed, capable of reaching over Mach 2. The aircraft was primarily used by the United States Air Force and various NATO countries during the Cold War.
Equipped with advanced avionics and a powerful engine, the F-104 played a significant role in air defense missions. Its design allowed for excellent performance at high altitudes, but it was also criticized for its challenging handling characteristics. The F-104 remained in service until the late 20th century.
