Eyrie
An "eyrie" is a high nest built by birds of prey, such as eagles and hawks. These nests are typically located on cliffs or tall trees, providing a safe and elevated space for the birds to raise their young. The height helps protect the chicks from ground predators and offers a wide view of the surrounding area for hunting.
In addition to its use in ornithology, the term "eyrie" can also refer to a lofty or elevated place, often used metaphorically to describe a person's home or a position of power. The concept evokes images of isolation and security, much like the nests of the birds that inspire the term.
