Expedition 1
"Expedition 1" was the first mission of the International Space Station (ISS) program, launched on October 31, 2000. This mission marked the beginning of a continuous human presence in space, with the arrival of the first crew to the ISS. The crew consisted of William Shepherd, Sergei Krikalev, and Yuri Gidzenko, who spent 136 days aboard the station.
During their time on the ISS, the crew conducted various scientific experiments and performed maintenance tasks. They also prepared the station for future missions and additional crew members, laying the groundwork for ongoing research and international collaboration in space exploration.
