Exotic Matter
Exotic matter refers to hypothetical substances that have unusual properties, such as negative mass or negative energy density. Unlike ordinary matter, which makes up everything we see, exotic matter could potentially enable phenomena like faster-than-light travel or stable wormholes, as suggested by theories in general relativity.
One of the most discussed forms of exotic matter is negative mass, which would behave oppositely to normal matter. For instance, if pushed, negative mass would accelerate toward the force instead of away from it. While exotic matter remains largely theoretical, its exploration could revolutionize our understanding of physics and the universe.
