Exhibitionism
Exhibitionism is a behavior characterized by the act of exposing one's body, particularly the genitals, to others for sexual pleasure or excitement. This behavior can occur in various settings, often without the consent of the onlookers, and is considered a paraphilic disorder when it causes distress or impairment in social or occupational functioning.
In psychology, exhibitionism is often linked to a desire for attention and validation. It can be associated with other conditions, such as voyeurism or sexual masochism. Treatment may involve therapy and counseling to address underlying issues and promote healthier expressions of sexuality.
