Examination Board
An Examination Board is an organization responsible for setting and administering exams for students. These boards create the exam content, establish grading criteria, and ensure that assessments are fair and standardized. They often oversee various educational qualifications, such as GCSEs or A-levels in the UK, and work to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
In addition to creating exams, an Examination Board also handles the certification of results. They provide official documentation to students, which can be used for further education or employment. Examples of well-known examination boards include Edexcel, AQA, and OCR.
