Everywhere at the End of Time
"Everywhere at the End of Time" is a six-hour ambient music project by The Caretaker, an alias of British musician Leyland Kirby. Released between 2016 and 2019, it explores themes of memory and dementia through a series of soundscapes that evolve over time, reflecting the progression of cognitive decline.
The project is divided into six stages, each representing different phases of memory loss. It begins with nostalgic and familiar melodies, gradually transitioning into dissonant and fragmented sounds, mirroring the experience of losing one's identity and connection to the past.
