Every Child Matters
"Every Child Matters" is a framework established in the United Kingdom aimed at ensuring the well-being and development of children and young people. It emphasizes the importance of safeguarding children, promoting their health, education, and overall welfare. The initiative encourages collaboration among various services, including education, health, and social care, to provide comprehensive support for children.
The framework was introduced in response to the tragic case of Victoria ClimbiƩ, a young girl who suffered abuse and neglect. It outlines five key outcomes for children: being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic well-being.
