Evergreen Point Floating Bridge
The Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, also known as the SR 520 Bridge, is a floating bridge located in Washington State. It spans Lake Washington and connects the cities of Seattle and Medina. Opened in 2016, it is the longest floating bridge in the world, measuring approximately 7,580 feet.
The bridge is designed to withstand strong winds and waves, using a series of concrete pontoons for buoyancy. It serves as a vital transportation route, accommodating vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians, while also providing scenic views of the surrounding area, including the Cascade Mountains and Seattle skyline.
