Everett Rogers
Everett Rogers was an American communication scholar best known for his work on the diffusion of innovations. He introduced the concept of the Diffusion of Innovations Theory, which explains how new ideas and technologies spread within cultures and societies. His research highlighted the roles of different adopter categories, such as innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards.
Rogers published his influential book, also titled Diffusion of Innovations, in 1962, which has since been widely referenced in various fields, including sociology, marketing, and public health. His work has helped organizations understand how to effectively promote new products and ideas to different segments of the population.
