Eva (Eve)
Eva, often referred to as Eve, is a significant figure in various religious texts, particularly in Judeo-Christian traditions. She is known as the first woman created by God in the Book of Genesis. According to the narrative, Eva was formed from one of Adam's ribs to be his companion, symbolizing the partnership between men and women.
In the story, Eva and Adam lived in the Garden of Eden, a paradise where they enjoyed a harmonious existence. However, they were tempted by a serpent to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, leading to their expulsion from the garden. This event is often interpreted as the origin of human sin and the complexities of human nature.
