European Wild Boar
The European Wild Boar (Sus scrofa) is a large, sturdy mammal native to Europe, parts of Asia, and North Africa. It has a thick, bristly coat that varies in color from brown to gray. These animals are known for their strong bodies, sharp tusks, and keen sense of smell, which they use to forage for food such as roots, fruits, and small animals.
European Wild Boars are social creatures, often found in groups called sounders, typically consisting of females and their young. Males tend to be solitary, especially outside of the breeding season. They play a crucial role in their ecosystems by helping to disperse seeds and maintain the balance of their habitats.
