European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation
The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, commonly known as Europol, is an agency that supports law enforcement agencies across EU member states. Established in 1999, its primary role is to facilitate information sharing and cooperation in combating serious international crime and terrorism.
Europol provides analytical support, operational coordination, and training to enhance the effectiveness of national law enforcement efforts. It works closely with various partners, including INTERPOL and non-EU countries, to tackle issues such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, cybercrime, and organized crime.
