European Hockey Federation
The European Hockey Federation (EHF) is the governing body for field hockey in Europe. Established in 1978, it oversees the organization and promotion of field hockey competitions across the continent, including the EuroHockey Championships and the EuroHockey Club Championships. The EHF aims to develop the sport at all levels, from grassroots to elite competitions.
The federation works closely with national hockey associations to enhance the quality of the game and increase participation. It also plays a role in coaching education and the development of umpires, ensuring that the sport continues to grow and thrive in Europe.
