It typically inhabits wetlands, grasslands, and forests, where it can easily blend into its surroundings. This snake is known for its distinctive green or brown coloration, often featuring a yellow or white collar behind its head. European Grass Snakes primarily feed on amphibians, such as frogs and toads, but they may also consume small fish and invertebrates.
