European Beaver
The European Beaver is a large, semi-aquatic rodent native to Europe and parts of Asia. It has a robust body, webbed feet, and a flat, paddle-shaped tail. These beavers are known for their impressive dam-building skills, which create ponds that provide habitat for various species and help maintain wetland ecosystems.
European Beavers primarily feed on the bark and leaves of trees, as well as aquatic plants. They play a crucial role in their environment by promoting biodiversity and improving water quality. Due to historical overhunting, their populations declined, but conservation efforts have led to successful reintroductions in many areas.
