Euronymous
Euronymous, born Øystein Aarseth in 1968, was a Norwegian musician and a key figure in the black metal scene. He co-founded the influential band Mayhem and was known for his extreme musical style and controversial persona. Euronymous also played a significant role in establishing the Norwegian black metal movement during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
In addition to his music career, Euronymous owned a record label called Deathlike Silence Productions, which helped promote various black metal bands. His life was marked by conflict and tragedy, culminating in his murder in 1993, which further fueled the notoriety of the black metal scene.
