Eurasian otter
The Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) is a semi-aquatic mammal found across Europe, Asia, and parts of North Africa. It has a streamlined body, webbed feet, and thick fur that helps it stay warm in cold water. These otters primarily inhabit rivers, lakes, and coastal areas, where they hunt for fish, amphibians, and crustaceans.
Eurasian otters are known for their playful behavior and social structures, often living in family groups. They are excellent swimmers, using their sensitive whiskers to detect prey underwater. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their habitats, as they face threats from pollution and habitat loss.
