Eurídice
Eurídice is a character from Greek mythology, known primarily as the wife of Orpheus, a legendary musician and poet. Her story is often associated with themes of love and loss, particularly in the context of the underworld. Eurídice tragically dies from a snake bite shortly after their wedding, prompting Orpheus to journey to the Underworld to retrieve her.
In the Underworld, Orpheus uses his enchanting music to persuade Hades, the god of the underworld, to allow Eurídice to return to the living. Hades agrees but sets a condition: Orpheus must not look back at her until they reach the surface. Unfortunately, he looks back, and Eurídice is lost to him forever.
