Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers, also known as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, are laypeople in the Catholic Church who assist in distributing the Eucharist during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. They are trained and appointed by the local bishop or pastor to ensure that the sacrament is administered respectfully and efficiently.
These ministers play a vital role in making the Eucharist more accessible to the congregation, especially during large gatherings. They may also bring the Eucharist to the sick or homebound, helping to foster a sense of community and connection within the Church.
