Etude (Study)
An etude is a short musical composition designed to provide practice material for musicians. Typically, etudes focus on specific technical skills or challenges, allowing performers to improve their technique while also expressing musical ideas. They are commonly used in the study of instruments like the piano, violin, and guitar.
In addition to their educational purpose, etudes can be performed in concert settings. Many famous composers, such as Frédéric Chopin and Claude Debussy, have written etudes that are not only technically demanding but also artistically rich, making them popular pieces in the classical music repertoire.
