Escalator Systems
An escalator system is a moving staircase designed to transport people between different levels of a building, such as in shopping malls, airports, and subway stations. It consists of a continuous loop of steps that move up or down, powered by an electric motor. Escalators are often used in places where elevators may be less efficient for high foot traffic.
The main components of an escalator include the steps, handrails, and drive system. Safety features, such as emergency stop buttons and sensors, are also integrated to prevent accidents. Escalators are a convenient solution for overcoming vertical distances while allowing passengers to remain standing.
