Ernest Bai Koroma
Ernest Bai Koroma is a Sierra Leonean politician who served as the President of Sierra Leone from 2007 to 2018. He is a member of the All People's Congress (APC) party and was previously the party's national chairman. Koroma's presidency focused on economic development, infrastructure improvement, and health care reform.
Before becoming president, Koroma was a successful businessman and held various positions in the private sector. He was first elected to the Sierra Leone Parliament in 2002, representing the Bombali District. His leadership was marked by efforts to rebuild the country after the civil war and to promote national unity.
