Erik the Phantom
Erik the Phantom, often simply referred to as the Phantom, is a fictional character from Gaston Leroux's novel, "The Phantom of the Opera." He is depicted as a mysterious and disfigured musical genius who lives beneath the Paris Opera House. Erik is known for his exceptional talent in music and architecture, but his physical appearance leads to a life of isolation and despair.
In the story, Erik becomes infatuated with Christine Daaé, a young opera singer, and uses his influence to help her rise to fame. His obsession drives him to commit various acts of manipulation and violence, ultimately leading to tragic consequences for himself and those around him.
