Erdgas
Erdgas, or natural gas, is a fossil fuel primarily composed of methane. It is found deep beneath the Earth's surface, often alongside oil deposits. Erdgas is used for various purposes, including heating homes, generating electricity, and as a fuel for vehicles.
The extraction of Erdgas involves drilling wells to access gas reservoirs. Once extracted, it is transported through pipelines to processing plants, where impurities are removed. Erdgas is considered a cleaner alternative to other fossil fuels, as it produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions when burned.
