Equus zebra
The Equus zebra is a species of wild horse native to Africa, known for its distinctive black and white stripes. These stripes are unique to each individual, much like human fingerprints. Zebras primarily inhabit grasslands, savannas, and mountainous regions, where they graze on grasses and leaves.
There are three main species of zebras: the plains zebra, the Grevy's zebra, and the mountain zebra. Zebras are social animals, often found in herds that provide protection against predators. They communicate through vocalizations, body language, and even facial expressions, showcasing their complex social structures.
