Episcopal Diocese
An Episcopal Diocese is a regional district within the Episcopal Church, which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Each diocese is led by a bishop and includes multiple congregations, or parishes, that serve local communities. The diocese is responsible for overseeing the spiritual and administrative needs of its churches and their members.
Dioceses vary in size and can encompass entire states or smaller regions. They hold regular meetings, known as Diocesan Conventions, where clergy and lay representatives gather to discuss church matters, make decisions, and plan for the future. This structure helps maintain unity and support among the churches within the diocese.
