Epicrates
Epicrates is a genus of snakes commonly known as boas. These non-venomous constrictors are primarily found in tropical regions of Central and South America. They are known for their distinctive coloration and patterns, which help them blend into their surroundings. Epicrates can grow to various lengths, with some species reaching over 10 feet.
These snakes are primarily nocturnal and are excellent climbers, often found in trees. They feed on a diet of small mammals, birds, and reptiles, using their strong bodies to constrict prey before swallowing it whole. Epicrates plays an important role in maintaining the ecological balance in their habitats.
