Eoraptor
Eoraptor is a small, early dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic period, around 231 million years ago. It was about the size of a dog, measuring approximately 1 meter (3.3 feet) long. Eoraptor is considered one of the oldest known dinosaurs and is believed to be a basal member of the group that eventually led to both theropods and sauropodomorphs.
Eoraptor had a lightweight body, long legs, and a long tail, which helped it move quickly. Its diet likely consisted of both plants and small animals, making it an omnivore. Fossils of Eoraptor were discovered in Argentina, providing valuable insights into the early evolution of dinosaurs.
