Endovascular Procedures
Endovascular procedures are minimally invasive techniques used to treat various vascular conditions. These procedures involve accessing the blood vessels through small incisions, often in the groin or wrist, allowing doctors to perform treatments without the need for large surgical openings. Common conditions treated include aneurysms, blockages, and varicose veins.
During an endovascular procedure, a thin tube called a catheter is inserted into the blood vessel. Imaging technology, such as fluoroscopy or ultrasound, guides the catheter to the targeted area. This approach typically results in shorter recovery times and less pain compared to traditional surgery.
