Empress Zita
Empress Zita was the last Empress of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, born on July 9, 1892, in Real Madrid, Spain. She married Archduke Otto of Austria in 1911 and became Empress in 1916 during World War I. Zita was known for her strong character and dedication to her family and the empire.
After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, Zita and her family went into exile. They lived in various countries, including Switzerland and Portugal. Zita spent her later years advocating for the restoration of the monarchy and passed away on March 14, 1989, in Zug, Switzerland.
