Emperor Zhao, also known as Zhao of Han, was the fifth emperor of the Han Dynasty in ancient China. He reigned from 87 to 74 BCE and was known for his relatively short rule, which was marked by a focus on consolidating power and maintaining stability within the empire. His reign followed that of his father, Emperor Wu, who had expanded the empire significantly. During Emperor Zhao's rule, he faced challenges such as court intrigues and the influence of powerful eunuchs.
