Emelec
Emelec is a professional football club based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Founded in 1929, the club is named after the Electric Company of Ecuador, which is where its founders worked. Emelec is one of the most successful teams in Ecuadorian football history, having won numerous national championships and consistently competing in international tournaments.
The team's colors are blue and white, and they play their home matches at the Estadio George Capwell, which has a capacity of around 40,000 spectators. Emelec has a fierce rivalry with Barcelona SC, another prominent club in Ecuador, and their matches are known as the "Clásico del Astillero."
