Elliot's chimpanzee
Elliot's chimpanzee, scientifically known as *Pan troglodytes ellioti*, is a subspecies of the common chimpanzee. It is primarily found in the forests of West Africa, particularly in Cameroon and Nigeria. This chimpanzee is known for its social behavior, living in groups called communities, and exhibits complex communication skills.
These chimpanzees are characterized by their dark fur and expressive faces. They are omnivorous, feeding on fruits, leaves, and insects. Like other chimpanzees, Elliot's chimpanzee is highly intelligent, capable of using tools and solving problems, which highlights their cognitive abilities in the animal kingdom.
