Eliomys
Eliomys is a genus of rodents commonly known as the fat dormice. These small mammals are primarily found in Europe and parts of Asia, inhabiting forests, shrublands, and grasslands. They are characterized by their large eyes, bushy tails, and thick fur, which helps them adapt to various environments.
Fat dormice are nocturnal and spend much of their time foraging for food, including fruits, seeds, and insects. They are known for their ability to store fat in their bodies, which allows them to survive during periods of food scarcity. Their unique adaptations make them an interesting subject of study in the field of mammalogy.
