Electropolishing
Electropolishing is an electrochemical process used to remove material from the surface of a metal object, enhancing its smoothness and shine. This technique is commonly applied to metals like stainless steel, aluminum, and copper, making them more resistant to corrosion and easier to clean.
During electropolishing, the metal part is submerged in an electrolyte solution and connected to a power source. An electric current flows through the solution, causing the surface material to dissolve selectively. This results in a polished finish, improving the metal's appearance and performance in various applications, including medical devices and aerospace components.
