Electric Magnets
Electric magnets are devices that create a magnetic field when an electric current flows through them. They are made by wrapping a coil of wire around a core, often made of iron. When electricity passes through the wire, it magnetizes the core, allowing the electric magnet to attract or repel other magnetic materials.
These magnets are widely used in various applications, such as in electric motors, generators, and magnetic locks. Unlike permanent magnets, electric magnets can be turned on and off, making them versatile for different uses in technology and industry.
