Eleanor of Aragon
Eleanor of Aragon (1400–1445) was a Spanish noblewoman, born to Ferdinand I of Aragon and Eleanor of Alburquerque. She became the Queen consort of Alfonso V of Aragon through her marriage in 1416, which strengthened political ties in the region. Eleanor played a significant role in the royal court and was known for her piety and charitable works.
Eleanor's lineage connected her to various European royal families, enhancing her influence. After her husband's death in 1458, she retired to a life of devotion. Her legacy includes contributions to the cultural and political landscape of Aragon during the late Middle Ages.
