Elara
Elara is one of the moons of Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. It was discovered in 1905 by the astronomer Charles Dillon Perrine. Elara is classified as a non-spherical moon and is part of the Himalia group, which consists of several irregularly shaped moons that share similar orbits.
Elara has a diameter of about 86 kilometers (53 miles) and orbits Jupiter at a distance of approximately 11 million kilometers (6.8 million miles). Its surface is believed to be composed mainly of ice and rock, and it has a relatively low albedo, meaning it reflects only a small amount of sunlight.
