Elantris
Elantris is a fantasy novel written by Brandon Sanderson, published in 2005. The story is set in the once-great city of Elantris, which was home to god-like beings known as Elantrians. After a mysterious event called the Reod, the city falls into decay, and its inhabitants are cursed, turning them into the living dead.
The plot follows three main characters: Raoden, the prince of Arelon; Sarene, his betrothed; and Hrathen, a priest from a rival religion. As they navigate political intrigue and personal struggles, they seek to uncover the truth behind Elantris and restore its former glory.
