El Tajín
El Tajín is an ancient Mesoamerican city located in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. It flourished between 600 and 1200 AD and is known for its impressive architecture, including pyramids, ball courts, and intricate carvings. The site is particularly famous for the Pyramid of the Niches, which features 365 niches that may have had astronomical significance.
Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, El Tajín is a key example of the Totonac culture.
