Eknath
Eknath is a prominent figure in Indian history, known for his contributions to Marathi literature and spirituality. He lived during the 16th century and is best known for his devotional poetry and the Bhagavad Gita commentary. Eknath played a significant role in the Bhakti movement, which emphasized personal devotion to God.
In addition to his literary works, Eknath is celebrated for his life as a saint and social reformer. He founded the Eknathi Bhagwat, a retelling of the Bhagavata Purana, which made spiritual teachings accessible to the common people. His teachings continue to inspire many in India today.
