Eight-ball
Eight-ball is a popular cue sport played on a rectangular table covered with green felt. The game uses a set of 16 balls: one cue ball and 15 object balls, which are divided into two groups—solid and striped. The objective is to pocket all of your designated balls and then legally pocket the eight ball to win the game.
Players take turns striking the cue ball with a cue stick to hit the object balls. The game begins with a break shot, where the player attempts to scatter the balls. Successful shots allow the player to continue their turn, while failing to pocket a ball gives the opponent a chance to play. The game requires skill, strategy, and precision.
