Eierland Lighthouse
Eierland Lighthouse is located on the island of Texel in the Netherlands. Built in 1864, it stands at 54 meters tall, making it one of the tallest lighthouses in the country. The lighthouse is painted with distinctive red and white stripes, making it easily recognizable.
The primary purpose of Eierland Lighthouse is to guide ships safely through the Wadden Sea. It is still operational today and is an important navigational aid for maritime traffic. Visitors can climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the North Sea.
