Eggon
Eggon is a language spoken by the Eggon people, primarily found in Nigeria. It belongs to the Niger-Congo family of languages and is part of the Benue-Congo branch. The Eggon community is located in the Nasarawa State, where the language serves as a vital aspect of their cultural identity.
The Eggon people have a rich tradition of storytelling, music, and dance, which often incorporates their language. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote the Eggon language, as it faces challenges from more dominant languages in the region, such as Hausa and English.
