Edward of Woodstock
Edward of Woodstock, also known as the Black Prince, was the eldest son of King Edward III of England. Born in 1330, he became a prominent military leader during the Hundred Years' War against France. His notable victories at the battles of Crécy and Poitiers established him as a key figure in English history.
Despite his military success, the Black Prince's life was marked by health issues. He was made the Duke of Cornwall and was known for his chivalric values. Edward died in 1376, a year before his father, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and honor in medieval England.
