Edward Wotton
Edward Wotton was an English physician and naturalist born in 1492. He is best known for his work in the field of zoology and for being one of the early contributors to the study of animal anatomy. Wotton's most notable publication, "De Differentiis Animalium," explored the differences among various animal species and laid the groundwork for future biological studies.
Wotton was also associated with the University of Oxford, where he served as a lecturer. His contributions to science during the Renaissance period helped advance the understanding of living organisms and their classifications, influencing later naturalists like William Harvey and John Ray.
