Edward Stanley, 1st Baron Stanley of Alderley
Edward Stanley, 1st Baron Stanley of Alderley (1775-1849), was a British politician and peer. He served as a Member of Parliament for several constituencies, including Lancaster and North Lancashire. In 1839, he was elevated to the peerage, becoming Baron Stanley of Alderley.
